Rock groups Billy Talent and My Chemical Romance and singer Avril Lavigne were among the big winners at the MuchMusic Video Awards in Toronto, Canada on Sunday night.
Homegrown band Billy Talent led the winners by picking up a trio of awards, including Best Video and MuchLoud Best Rock Video for "Fallen Leaves" and Favourite Canadian Group.
My Chemical Romance were named Favorite International Group and also accepted the coveted Best International Video - Group for "Welcome To The Black Parade."
Lavigne, who also performed at the star-studded ceremony at the city's Chum-City Building, won Favorite Canadian Artist and Best International Video By A Canadian for "Girlfriend."
Other winners included Nickelback with the MuchMoreMusic Award for "Far Away," Hilary Duff as Favourite International Artist and Fergie's "Fergalicious" being named Best International Video - Artist.
